Jessica Koblenz, PsyD Dr. Koblenz is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of New York since 2012 and the Founder of Cornerstone Psychological Services. She is a former faculty member of Harlem Hospital, an affiliate of Columbia University. She obtained her doctorate from Long Island University and was trained at Bellevue Medical Center, Long Island Jewish Medical Center, and Creedmoor Psychiatric Center. She was the Clinic Director of PSCH’s outpatient Mental Health Clinic in Canarsie, Brooklyn. Prior, she worked at Holliswood Hospital as the Director of Training for psychology doctoral students and mental health counseling students. She also worked as a Psychologist for the Military Wellness Program at Holliswood Hospital. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic models. Her areas of clinical expertise include Trauma, Loss, Relationship Issues and Life Transitions. With extensive experience and training in acute psychiatric care, she is skilled in providing a calm space for those in crisis. She is both motivating and empathic in her work. She looks to comfort clients during difficult times and encourage them to make meaning out of their hardship to help them improve their lives. She is passionate about helping clients achieve their goals and reach their potential. |
Malka Belgrod, LCSW
Malka Belgrod is a Licensed Clinical Social worker in the State of New York. She has her Masters Degree in Social Work from Adelphi University and has received a post graduate certification in Trauma Treatment from Adelphi University. She has completed a level 1 training at the Gottman Institute for couples counseling. She completed EMDR Part-I training and is skilled in working with various Trauma modalities. She has worked in several clinics in Queens and Brooklyn as a clinical therapist. She has worked at the Coalition against Child Abuse and Neglect in Bethpage and helped families who experienced sexual and physical abuse. For the last several years she has been running a bereavement group to help those struggling with grief and loss. She has worked with clients dealing with a myriad of issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, anger management, life transitions and abuse. Malka strives to provide a safe and compassionate environment that engages clients to explore and process in order to achieve success. |
